Nervous about public speaking – does Rescue Remedy work??
I am planning on taking some rescue remedy before performing a speech that i am extremely nervous about – i am depending on the remedy to stop me fainting or throwing up with nerves!!!
does it work????????
Answer:Rescue remedy is definitely a help. It won't totally relax you but does take the edge off. I'm a very nervous flyer and my wife practically force feeds me the RR when we are on board to calm me down a bit!!
Answer:I have never heard of rescue remedy but it sounds like it is a gimmick that is sold to make people think they are calm. aka a placebo.
I have severe anxiety, and public speaking is hard for me.
but, the way I cope is to focus on the same few people and really, just talk to them while you are giving your speech.
Answer:I've never used it myself but I know a lot of folks that have and they say it works well for them.
One friend of mine was an attorney and used to use it before going into court.
Answer:Since Rescue Remedy is a homeopathic remedy and not a prescription medication, there is little academic proof that it works. You're better off going to your family doctor and asking for a prescription anxiety drug. I take Xanax for high-stress situations, and it works for me.
Answer:i dont think you should be pinning all your hope on the rescue rememdy to get you through the speech but my sister uses it sometimes and it does seem to help calm her down a bit. before you start speaking take a deep breath and try not to speak too fast and just listen to what you are saying rather than concentrating on the fact that you have an audience.
Answer:The following three remedies in that order will work:
1. Gelsemium 30 single dose three globules half an hour before the scheduled speech.
or
2. Argentinum Nitricum 30 single dose -do-
or
3. Aconitum Napillus 30 single dose -do –
Medicines will be curative of other ailments also if other symptoms match. check other symptoms frm the following link :

PS: fainting and throwing up would be a panic attack or a low pressure situation, where Kali Phos, Ars Alb., Spigelia should work single doses in 30C potency.
medicines should be taken always in consultation with doctors.
Answer:No it's quackery, don't waste your money.
Even though I am quite loud now, there was a time (believe it or not) when I hated speaking in front of an audience, but it does get better the more you do it. I know that doesn't make your problem go away right now but you have to face your fear basically. Just concentrate on your speech and put the rest out of your mind.
Answer:Yes it works. Dr. Edward Bach studied the medicinal properties of flowers his entire life and had research to back it up.
Things that don't work simply don't stay on the market. Rescue remedy has been used for almost 100 years.
And it is all natural unlike these other pharmaceutical drugs that others are mentioning. Those synthetic drugs work but they also cause all kinds of other problems. The drug companies can make money off of natural remedies simply because they can't patent them. So they take the natural remedies and chemically alter them to the point of being able to patent them so that they can make money. The only problem is that these synthetic drugs are toxic and unrecognizableble by the body.
If it hasn't been around for 10,000 years, then don't use it!
Answer:No sorry.I have it right here in from of me.It doesn't do anything.it has alcohol in it it though, so it might calm your nerves if you drink enough of it
Answer:It may help by thinking it will make you feel calm but from past experience it does not work, long time ago when I was sitting my driving test the instructor advised a banana before the test as it has something in it that helps you concentrate and feel calm. Be confident in yourself and you wont throw up, when doing the speech take deep breaths and do not talk too fast, if you are confident in your subject then why be nervous, just think that you are better than the people you are speaking to and that will make you feel better. There will be more obstacles in your life much worse than this in the future. Good Luck.
Answer:I am afraid not, it is a functionless placebo.
Answer:It very may well help calm you down enough to give your speech. I used Valerin for a while with some situational anxiety, a homepathic herbal tablet you can order from the internet. Felt like I took a chill-pill, was stressed enough that my back was in spasms.
Answer:The thought is the father of the deed!
Find somewhere you feel at your most relaxed and safe, close your eyes and breathe deeply while imagining a bar of white light slowly scanning your body, feet to head, as the light passes over a muscle relax that muscle, do this until you feel very relaxed.
Next, while relaxed, imagine yourself giving the talk, you're confidant, you're relaxed, you're pleased to be giving the speech and your audience is actively listening to every word you say, if you begin to feel stressed you'll go back to the relaxation exercise.
Repeat exercises as often as possible before the day of the speech but this method WORKS, you'll still need to practise giving the speech but on the day you'll feel relaxed enough to give the speech well.
Answer:A former colleague of mine used Rescue Remedy whenever he needed to give evidence in court. There may be more specific Bach flower remedies which could help you, such as Mimulus or Rock Rose. Also, a technique called EFT might help. Good luck with your speech!
Answer:If you want something that actually has a pharmacological effect rather than wasting your money on a placebo I've always found a good single malt helps. Just the one mind, about an hour before you're due to start.
There is always the old one about imagining the audience naked which is the butt of many a music hall joke. You have the consolation of knowing it gets easier every time you do it.
Answer:No, it cannot possibly work.
Inside that little bottle it is 99% brandy and 1% 'flower extracts'. When you put a few drops in water it becomes massively diluted (a glass of water with 4 drops then contains 0.00002% 'flower extracts'!) far too low to have any effect at all.
The guy who invented this scam (Mr Bach) was a typical crazy guy, who came out with this description for diseases: "Disease is in essence the result of conflict between the Soul and Mind and will never be eradicated except by spiritual and mental effort." Which of course we now know to be complete rubbish! He also thought we had a psychic connection with plants! Lunacy!
There are many ways to learn how to relax before presentations, being scammed out of your money isn't one of them.
Answer:It certainly does – as well as the Homeopathic remedy Arg Nit.
